Boulder period and semester are over- the training is in full swing

02/22/2012

Carnival is over, the semester has finished and the cold front of Russia has left us. So even -5°C in the morning seem quite mild. Our training is in full swing and we spend a lot of time in the forest, on the track and in the train, as we try to do many training sessions together with our training group in Frankfort under the watchful eye of our coach. The Rhön convinces with a beautiful landscape whereas Mainz and Frankfort lure with milder temperatures. When it is very cold at home there is nothing better than having a sauna after training. Actually a snow angel is part of the game but we can do without it in exchange for tracks free of snow. The perfect after-having-a-sauna-drink is a ginger tea. It gets really hot while drinking the tea. With this in mind- happy sweating!

Gingertea for 1l:
3cm ginger
1l water
juice of half a lemon
honey
Chop the ginger and pour on hot water. Add the lemon and let the tea steep for 10 minutes. You can sweet it with honey. If you prefer a refreshment, put some ice in it.
